REACH Compliance

REACH is the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of CHemical substances, a regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006).

It covers the registering and authorizing use of chemical substances, including the manufacture or importation of substances into the European Union.  Registration is a requirement for companies that either produce or import into the EU any substance in volumes that exceed one tonne per substance.   Spring contacts typically do not exceed the import limit, and are not required to register.

The SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern), Annex 14 and Annex 17 reference substances that should be declared or avoided, and are typically updated with additional substances every six months.  We will provide updates whether any substances affect the spring contact industry, as the regulations are updated.  More information may be available from our Manufacturers and Sellers.
